Dr. Tom Anderson, PhD, FSU
Tom Anderson began working for the Department of Art Education at Florida State University in 1982, after teaching in the public schools in Oregon and working as a commercial artist in Chicago. The longest serving member of the Department, Tom’s long-term interests are art criticism and the theory of art, the social foundations of art and education, and how art and education can contribute to social justice and environmental sustainability.

Hilary Inwood is a lecturer teaching art education and environmental education at the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. She holds degrees in education (M.Ed, University of Toronto), art history (MA, York University) and art education (Ph.D), Concordia University. Her research focuses on integrating art education with environmental education to develop learners’ environmental literacy in school and community settings. Her work as an educator and artist extends beyond the classroom to include school gardens, outdoor education centres, parks and galleries. Research Link
