"My work is based on photos and video footage I take on a regular basis. The path reflects my personal experience as someone who moved often, as an emigrant, as a mother, and my strong interest and attachment for the landscapes where I live or that I visit – and visited since I was a child. With a mother biologist and a father geologist, I always heard about evolution, species, continental drift and conservation of resources. It is a natural part of my life.
In my installations, I use both traditional and nontraditional medium: murals and paintings, drawings, video, and photography. Also prints, furniture, decals, and found objects. Some parts of the installations, like the murals, are ephemeral."
Guieu is a board member of The Women Environmental Art Directory.

The idea for this one minute video comes from something my mom told me when I was a child, that I never forgot and which is still true today. Because clean water matters so much!

Water is a subject I have always been interested in and I like to see how it interests my kids. This video is about my two boys (10 and 11) explaining the water system they constructed for their small shack in the country in Southern France. This video is part of a series of short documentaries I have made about childhood.
