Cities Alliance - Cities Without Slums
About Us: The Cities Alliance is a global partnership for urban poverty reduction and the promotion of the role of cities in sustainable development. The Cities Alliance was created in 1999 when 10 donor governments joined the World Bank, UN-HABITAT and the major international associations of local authorities to form a new partnership aimed at focusing on two key issues: the growth of slums and the management of cities where slum growth was taking place.
What does the Cities Alliance do?
The Cities Alliance’s overall strategic objectives are to support cities in providing effective local government, an active citizenship and an economy characterized by both public and private investment.

Conserve Water Georgia
Conserve Water Georgia is a water conservation clearinghouse with timely tips and tools for individuals, students and teachers, business and industry representatives and community leaders. We are a service of the Watershed Protection Branch of the Environmental Protection Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
Without water conservation, Georgia will not be able to meet its water demands of the future. Since the 1990s, the Georgia EPD has endeavored to enforce the conservation-oriented laws passed by the Georgia General Assembly and the rules and regulations adopted by the Board of Natural Resources. As water resource management becomes more complex, Georgians are calling for comprehensive water resource plans and policies, as well as more aggressive water conservation. To meet the expectations of Georgia's leaders and citizens, EPD, along with other state agencies, is pursuing a coordinated and aggressive approach to water conservation.

Earth Givers
OUR MISSION
Since 2007, Earth Givers has been pioneering a model that uses carbon offsets as a way to support local community development. This model has helped thousands of low-income families reduce their utility bills, and has yielded over 3,000(and counting) newly planted indigenous trees on conservation lands in Gainesville, FL. Earth Givers is a non-profit that utilizes community involvement to spread a message of conservation through commitment and action. Businesses, Universities, conferences, and individuals are choosing to offset their environmental impact with Earth Givers, because every carbon offset that’s sold is reinvested in to more projects that move us towards a sustainable and resilient community.

Global Footprint Network, Advancing the Science of Sustainability
About Us: At A Glance - Humans are the most successful species on the planet. But we are using more resources than the Earth can provide. We are in global ecological overshoot. In 2003, Global Footprint Network, a 501c (3) nonprofit organization, was established to enable a sustainable future where all people have the opportunity to live satisfying lives within the means of one planet.
An essential step in creating a one-planet future is measuring human impact on the Earth so we can make more informed choices. That is why our work aims to accelerate the use of the Ecological Footprint — a resource accounting tool that measures how much nature we have, how much we use, and who uses what.
The Ecological Footprint is a data-driven metric that tells us how close we are to the goal of sustainable living. Footprint accounts work like bank statements, documenting whether we are living within our ecological budget or consuming nature’s resources faster than the planet can renew them. Our efforts are fueled by a future vision in which human demand on nature is monitored as closely as the stock market. A time when designers are shaping products, buildings, and cities that have one-planet Footprints. A world where all humans prosper and development succeeds because we are finally recognizing ecological constraints and using innovation to advance more than just the economic bottom line.
Making this vision a reality is our work. We provide the scientific data necessary to drive large-scale, social change.
Together with hundreds of individuals, 200 cities, 23 nations, leading business, scientists, NGO’s, academics and our 90-plus global Partners — spanning six continents — we are advancing the impact of the Footprint in the world, applying it to practical projects and sparking a global dialogue about a one-planet future and how we can facilitate change.
